Hi All,
Well I'm Sibboz as you can see from the name of this Blog!

I'm in my twenties, by no means old, but I'm not a naive youngster either.
I like my games (ps3 or xbox, not too keen on PC though), my films, my music and my technology.
I plan to gradually produce reviews on the latest games, films and any new piece of AV equipment I get my hands on.

So I'll let you gander at the rest of my posts for now!

I am officially the NHS pin cushion of the year

Well now, some of my good old buddies in the physical world will know of my injury and how no-one in the medical profession can give me a diagnosis after 3 & 1/2 years.
Lets start from the beginning:
3 separate physiotherapists
3 MRI Scans
12 X-Rays
1 Osteoskeletal Surgeon
12 Blood Tests
1 Private Specialist in vehicular injuries
1 Musceoskeletal Physiotherapist
1 Rhumatologist

and still no diagnosis.

Well today has been my latest MRI scan (what a joy if your a little bit claustrophobic!) and all was going well, had quite a hot nurse get me ready and help me with my gown (yes its embarrassing a cotton gown with a split down the back where your ass is on show!) and it was relaxing lying there for 30 minutes. Suddenly I get pulled out of the machine and there is this little dude with a syringe explaining they need to inject this die into my blood stream for the next set of MRI's. I'm not the most relaxed when it comes to needles but I thought, "hey, just get on with the injecting and I can back to sleep for another half hour". But boy, was I wrong. Six, I repeat, six attempts to find a flaming vein. No-one has ever struggled to find a vein in my arms before, and I'm gradually starting to get a bit annoyed and skittish because of the number of needles being inserted into my skin! So with blood gradually dripping from both my arms, the hot nurse comes in and tells the idiot to get some gauze and tape and fix my arms while she expertly finds a vein, this time in my hand, first time by the way, but damn that hurt more lol. The rest of the scan was uneventful and when I get a chance I'll put a a few photos up of the bruising that idiot caused. If I get stopped by the police in the next few days, they'll think I'm a drug addict with all these punctures lol.

Now I need to wait for the results which will probably be 3-4 months, woop woop!

Microsoft vs Sony Vs Nintendo who wins??

The big fight!
With E3 recently finishing up I thought I'd give my views on this never-ending issue.

Who will win this generations console war??
Everybody that's who. Without competition how would boundaries get pushed? If MS didn't jump in to the console wars in the late 90's do you really think we would be where we are now? No fraking way, Sega had already dropped out of the console war and it would have been inevitable for Sony to dominate. But MS did create an awesome console, yes the Xbox was ugly and could kill a small child if dropped from a few feet, but it was the first console to incorporate an Ethernet modem and a hard drive. The playstation didn't have this and had to fight back by releasing add modems for its first generation PS2, but gradually the newly designed versions of the PS2 were slimmer and had an incorporated modem. Nintendo was nowhere near either MS or Sony with the Game Cube even though it was a lovely piece of kit. Just think, if MS didn't enter the fight, would we be playing against people from around the world on a daily basis today?
And with MS entering the frame it gave Nintendo a new opportunity to raise the bar for gaming, as Sony had two competitors to worry about.


And now we have the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. These consoles are each at the forefront of gaming tech in their own way:

The Wii has the most advance user controller with its revolutionary Wiimote.

The Xbox 360 has its xboxlive and also a very powerful console that continues to surprise with its graphical and processing ability.

The PS3 has an extremely agile system, allowing open source operating systems (you can use it as a PC with Linux), upgrading its hard drive without the need for a licensed drive (any 2.5 laptop hd will do) and a system that will only get better in time.

So for me everyone is a winner in this gen, but personally for me, its gotta be the Microsoft Xbox they may have had some hardware issues but they went straight to the consumer for advice on user interface, community systems and more.

The Great British Government

I may only be in my twenties, but does anyone else (in the UK that is) feel that our government has greatly let us down?

For example, MPs using their expenses to pay for extensions on to their second property, the joke that is our economy and debt and the ridiculous fight against knife crime.

I would personally like all MPs to pay back the money they used for frivolous things like extensions, new kitchens, big screen TV's. They do not need these items, they want them. Are they not already paid enough for their jobs (that half of them don't seem to really care about anyway!)? These poor, poor MPs (who get paid more than triple my yearly wage) need to re-evaluate their position in the world and start working for the people, take a pay cut and live like the rest of Britain.

Its probably because of all the money (tax payers money I should add) spent on Government "expenses" that we are in the current economical situation. But hey, if they lower taxes for people on minimum wage, stop benefits from being so easy to get, stop paying outrageous wages to imbecile government workers and start putting the money back into where its needed (police, schools and NHS) we might get some where. Yeah as if that's going to happen with any political party!

I've got to hand it to Boris Johnson (London's new Conservative Mayor), he doesn't seem to be doing a bad job so far, he has taken a pay cut (OMG! a conservative taking a paycut) from the previous mayor, he's re-shuffled the jobs within his team and saved a shed load of cash, outlawed drinking alcohol on public transport and now fighting an important battle against violent street crime (especially knife crime).

Knife crime is a huge problem that will not be solved by any one action. It needs a huge overhaul of police procedures and powers. Nobody respects the police or other people in the younger generations, so why don't you give them something to respect, zero tolerance. All human rights and political correctness need a drastic overhaul, if the innocent victim of a crime has less rights than the criminal.

Any way, there is my first post, or rant if you will. I will be gradually adding my game and film reviews each week (well if I get the chance) ;)
